The Garland Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred June 21, just before 7:30 p.m., at a convenience store located in the 700 block of West Walnut Street.
Detectives have recovered video surveillance showing a black male entering the store and selecting merchandise. The suspect approaches the counter, produces a dark-colored revolver and demands money from the clerk. He then flees from the location on foot.
Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying this robbery suspect.
Suspect arrested
Covon Malik Oliver, 27, was identified and arrested for the Texaco June 21 robbery in Garland.
On July 6, Oliver was located and arrested by the Dallas Police Department. The investigation is ongoing but it is believed Oliver is responsible for several other robberies that have occurred in Dallas.
