Police investigate death of male subject

Monday, Jan. 14, just before 6 p.m., the Garland Police Department received a call regarding an unconscious person in a storage building in the 400 block of South Kirby Drive.

 

Responding officers observed a Hispanic male, later identified as 42-year-old Victor Aramburo, lying unconscious in one of the storage facilities that was being used as a living quarters. The Garland Fire Department responded and Aramburo was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

Aramundo was observed to have trauma to his body that could possibly have caused his death. The incident is being investigated as a murder but detectives are working with the Dallas County Medical Examiner to determine the actual cause of death.

 

Detectives are attempting to locate a female identified as 38-year-old Marietta Allen. Allen is only a person of interest who is believed to have been seen with the victim.

A reward of up to $5,000 has been offered by Garland Crimes Stoppers for information leading to an arrest or grand jury indictment.

 

UPDATE:  On January 14, the Garland Police Department began investigating a murder in a storage building in the 400 block of South Kirby Drive. Working with the Dallas County Medical Examiner, it is believed that the male victim, identified as Victor Aramburo, died from blunt force trauma to the head. Initially, Marietta Allen was just a person of interest. Upon further investigation, detectives received information that led them to believe that Allen was in fact responsible for Aramburo’s murder. An arrest warrant was obtained and Garland officers were able to locate and arrest Allen. She is charged with Murder and is currently in the Garland Jail.  No bond has been set.
