RBFCU breaks ground on Garland location

Oct. 16, 2024

A group of community leaders, stakeholders and residents gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking ceremony of Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union (RBFCU) Friday, Oct. 11.

RBFCU president/CEO Mark Sekula thanked and praised the people of Garland.rbfcu

“I’ve been here only 30 minutes, and I already feel like I’m a part of the family,” he said. “You all have been so kind, so inviting and we are so proud and honored to be partners in your community.”

The feeling was mutual, as Garland Chamber of Commerce CEO Paul Mayer noted RBFCU’s fit into the Garland community.

“It means a lot the way you have come in. The way you came into town, including [our] folks,” Mayer said. “That’s our strength as a community, and that’s your strength as a financial institution. The people you serve are here and fundamentally support the economy and the community, so it couldn’t be a better partnership for that reason.”

According to the RBFCU website, the Garland branch, located at 505 North George Highway, will be the ninth location in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. There are already 70,000 members in the DFW area.rbfcu

Also on the website, Sekula shared that members’ financial well-being is the credit union’s priority.

“RBFCU is dedicated to bringing the credit union advantage to the forefront of our operations, particularly in the vibrant community of Garland. We prioritize the financial well-being of our members over profit. We’re thrilled to extend our commitment to the Garland community,” Sekula said. “Additionally, this groundbreaking further exemplifies our ongoing commitment to serving our members in the communities where they reside by actively seeking opportunities to give back.”

RBFCU’s new location will employ numerous Garland residents.
