Everyone has heard that “if you don’t vote, you can’t complain,” and most agree with the sentiment. But don’t forget, along with voting comes the responsibility of researching the candidates and making informed choices. It’s important to learn where they stand on issues that are important to you.
According to Franklin D. Roosevelt, “Democracy cannot succeed unless those who express their choice are prepared to choose wisely. The real safeguard of democracy, therefore, is education.”
