Alarm registration available online

Feb. 18, 2019

The Garland Police Department will begin using a third-party partner, along with an online website, for the management of its alarm permitting and billing. Garland partnered with Central Square Corporation to provide the services and website. The program utilized on the website is called CryWolf. Garland joins 41 other Texas agencies using this same partner and service, including several other departments within the DFW metroplex.

ALL alarm related services including: alarm permit registrations, renewals and payments can be accomplished online or by mail. The Garland Police Alarm Unit will continue to assist residents as needed, in person, by phone, or by email. Central Square Corporation will provide false alarm notifications, billing, and collection services. Central Square Corporation provides customer service support at 1-855-664-4346 from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Garland city ordinances require that any individual who operates an alarm system obtain an alarm permit. This ordinance applies to all residential and business locations within the city of Garland. A copy of the Garland city ordinance is available on the CryWolf website.

The CryWolf website is accessible at https://www.crywolfservices.com/garlandtx/. A hyper-link is also available on the police department’s website, www.GarlandPolice.com under “Alarm Permits – Crywolf.”  Current permit holders will be notified of their login credentials over the next few weeks. If needed sooner, residents can contact the listed customer service number.

Individuals needing to register their system can log into the website and complete the permit registration process.
