Be a part of Garland history—art history—by participating in a community art project being designed for the new Central Library! The library, which is currently undergoing renovation, will feature a unique, custom-made glass sculpture titled “A Story Waiting to be Told” by local artist Carlyn Ray.
Garland residents may enter a free raffle for the chance to decorate a piece of glass that will be fired and incorporated into the sculpture and later hung beneath the library skylight. Residents ages six and older may enter by scanning the accompanying QR code and filling out their contact information by Aug. 31. Space is limited, so names will be drawn at random from all entries. Winners will be notified Sept. 3 and assigned a time to meet at the South Garland Library on Sunday, Sept. 8 between 2 and 6 p.m. New names will be drawn if any winners do not confirm their spots by Friday, Sept. 6.
Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to literally make your mark on Garland history! Scan the QR code below and enter today.
