Store clerk shot, police ask for community’s help

May 22, shortly before midnight, the Garland Police Department responded to a robbery of a convenience store in the 4400 block of West Walnut.  When officers arrived, they found a victim, later identified as 30-year-old Heng Lam, suffering from a gunshot wound.

 

Lam was transported to Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas where he later died.

 

This investigation is ongoing and information will be released as it comes available.

 

Detectives viewed security video showing two male subjects entering the store with handguns. The suspects are described as males, approximately 5’7”- 5’8” tall, thin build, wearing hoodies.
