A major accident occurred Sunday, June 9, at approximately 6 a.m. Garland Police Department officers responded to the accident on Rowlett Road, just east of Roan Road. Upon arrival, they learned that a red pickup truck that was traveling eastbound on Rowlett Road, lost control and made contact with the guardrail.
Two passengers were ejected from the vehicle. They were located and pronounced deceased on the scene. A third passenger was transported in critical condition. No other vehicles were involved. The medical examiner responded to the accident scene, and the Traffic Unit is investigating the events that led up to the accident.
GPD has identified the victims from the accident that occurred on Rowlett Road near Roan Road as 19-year-old Carlos Villalta and 19-year-old Cristian Rodriquez of Garland.
