Yesterday, May 18, Garland police officers arrested and charged Davante Deshaun Chatman, of Dallas for the October 23, 2022 murder of Cesar Moreno-Pompa. Garland Police Department detectives conducted a detailed and exhaustive investigation which developed Chatman as a person of interest in the murder. As a result of the investigation, Chatman was also linked to two additional Garland crimes, all of which involved displaying or using a firearm.
Chatman is being charged with the following:
October 23, 2022 – LBJ Shooting
- Murder, Driver
- Aggravated Assault Deadly Weapon, Passenger
January 12, 2023
- Aggravated Assault Deadly Weapon, causing serious bodily injury, Driver
May 12, 2023
- Aggravated Assault Deadly Weapon, Driver
Chatman is currently being held at the Garland Detention Center. No bond has been issued.
