The first Urban Market of this year will have a fun and different twist. The Foundry Church and the Urban Market are joining forces to ensure that the kids have a great time at The Urban Bunny Trail Easter egg hunt.
In lieu of hiding the eggs on the ground, vendors around the Downtown Square will hand out the eggs to children to keep the event COVID-19 safe. All the vendors will wear masks and take every possible precaution.
Bunny Trail participants should check in at the Foundry Church Booth on the square to pick up a trail map that will lead them to each stop. Kids should bring bags or baskets for the hunt.
The downtown Garland market always brings in a variety of vendors who offer quality products. The monthly event features great shopping and great food. There are vendors who offer fresh produce, fresh foods, baked goods, candies, sauces and more. Additionally, those interested in vintage, repurposed and handmade items will find lots of treasures! There is also a variety of food vendors.
This month’s event is Saturday, March 13 – 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. – 509 West State Street in downtown Garland.
The event is always held on the second Saturday of the month and goes from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There’s no market in August because of the Texas heat!

There is so much to do in downtown Garland! Be sure and allow some extra time to have a bite at one of the many wonderful restaurants. Food choices include Mexican, barbecue, diner-style, sandwiches, Thai, desserts and more. Also, be sure to do some shopping at the unique independently-owned shops in the area.
